This Policy is published for compliance and agreement with requirements relating to possession and security of personal data by online access and use by Remnant Truth Network. Its purpose is to explain and reassure online users of our commitment to maintain their data securely, and confirm its use is for the expected purpose of such data, and is not available for onward use to third parties without the permission of the owner. The website privacy Policy is published for EU, UK and International compliance with Privacy laws and regulations known at time of publication. This will cover the key issues regarding normal use, using links to other sites and material, passwords security.

This Policy and compliance statement will be reviewed annually and agreed by two members of the Remnant Truth Network Board.

A record of the policy and the annual agreement or changes will be maintained by RTN (Remnant Truth Network) and supplied upon request to any regulatory or other such body as required for scrutiny and legal compliance.

1.      How We Collect and Use Information
We collect the following types of information about you:
Information you provide us directly:
We receive certain information such as your name phone number and e-mail address when you contact Remant Truth Network RTN . This is a result of you contacting us to comment on a video, a radio program, or to ask live questions or discuss an issue that we are broadcasting. This will include whatever details you upload if you subscribe to RTN or contact us by email, Text or postal mail. This will include any name you use as a contributor on any live or recorded program.

We do not hold a database or maintain any other record of details except what is know by any member of the RTN Board or production staff on a personal basis.

We will not solicit or receive any information about you from any third party or web service host.

However your information may be collated or used by the host, IE Facebook, YouTube or any other media platform that the program material is used. Either directly by RTN, or anyone who may with or without or permission repost the program themselves. That host should contact you for your permission as part of your contract or service conditions with them. RTN cannot be held responsible for any unauthorised use of programs either in full or in any edited form.

This information could include, but is not limited to, the user ID associated with your account (for example, your Facebook UID), an access token necessary to access that service.

Any information that you have permitted the third party to share with us, and any information you have made public in connection with that service.

This may include your friend's list, your friends’ user IDs, and your connection to those friends, may be used and stored to make your experience more social, and to allow you to invite your friends to use the Service, as well as provide you with updates.

You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to the Service.

You may also unlink your third party account from the Service by adjusting your settings on the third party service.

2.      Analytics information
We may directly collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools and services, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service.

These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device.

This may include the geographic location you are listening from.

This service is provided by external hosts such as Ice Cast, Google, Firefox or similar provider or host. It will record how long you listen, what time you start and finish, what country you are living in via your IP address.

This does not tell us who you are, or anything about you as an individual.

It simply records that a device using IP address *************** listened from Quebec Canada on 14 April from 1200 local time until 1300 local time.

We do not use that information except for measuring audience figures and listening trends measured by the IP address not your individual/personal data.

We collect and use this analytics information in aggregate form such that it cannot reasonably be manipulated to identify any particular individual user.

3.      Logfile information
Logfile information is automatically reported by your browser or mobile device each time you access the Service.

When you use our Service, our servers automatically record certain log file information. These server logs may include anonymous information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, referring / exit pages, and URLs, but we are unable to identify any individual, nor is it a requirement that we do so.

4.      Cookies information
We do not use cookies or any other electronic trigger or device to record your preference or listening habits..

5.      Device identifiers
When you access the Service by or through a mobile device (including but not limited to smart-phones or tablets), social media platforms such as  YouTube may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store one or more “device identifiers,” such as a universally unique identifier (“UUID”).

Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures stored on or associated with your mobile device, which uniquely identify your mobile device.

6.      Sharing of Your Information
We will not rent or sell your information to third parties.

What happens in the event of a change of control:
The RTN Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of third-parties such as  Facebook , Twitter or YouTube. This includes any new or future broadcasting services such as Vimeo or ROKU, and any other service provider we may subscribe to as part of our broadcast services.

Please consult the respective privacy policies of such third parties or contact such third parties for more information.

7. Storage and Processing

Your information collected through the Service may be stored and processed electronically on our systems and will only include your name, email address, and or phone number. This will not be transferred to any database or filing system.

We are required to maintain recordings of any live broadcasts under UK, EU and international broadcasting laws and regulations.

This is simply to allow a thorough investigation should any complaint be received regarding content or any contributor. Any host or comments that may be considered a breach of any known law and would cover the UK Broadcasting Standards Regulations, The UK Telecommunications Act and the Broadcasting Amendment EU Exit Regulations 2019. Similar compliance is intended for any other regulation in other countries including the United States  such as the North America Regional Broadcasting Agreement.

Any comments or question schedule including your questions or comments are deleted after each broadcast.  However, the recording of that that question as part of the program will remain as recorded material. If you call or contact us, or participate in a program, then the details you supply will be maintained for a minimum of 12 months. This as already mentioned is a requirement of law and Broadcasting regulations to allow for the free, and effective investigation of complaints and maintenance of broadcasting standards.  

If you are commenting or contact us via Facebook, YouTube, or similar provider they may maintain your data and you should confirm their obligations with you under GDPR or similar legislation in your country of residence.

8.      Keeping your information safe
RTN cares about the security of your information and uses common sense and practical measures to safeguard your information. The only people who have access to your information are the program team including host and any guest who you are speaking to. The guest will only know the name you provide they will not know your email address, phone number, IP address, or any other data unless as part of a conversation this is supplied by you in response to questions.

IE where are you calling from? what church do you go to?

To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to maintain your information and your phone number, emails, and texts which are only held on RTN systems.

9.      Compromise of information
In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security.  RTN will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.

This will include contacting the relevant information commissioner should a serious breach occur.

10.   Your Choices about Your Information
You do not have to tell us anything about your personal details and you can be an anonymous caller if you prefer. However, your IP address, phone number, email address, etc will be recorded as this is the means of contact used.

11.   Children’s Privacy
RTN does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to take part in any RTN program.

The only exception being they are children of guests attending any recording in any studio facility or public gathering or church service.

The Service and its content are not directed at children under the age of 13.

In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. We will confirm in writing that such action has been undertaken and note the record for compliance purpose.

If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us in writing to the email address published on the website.

12.   Links to Other Websites and Services
We are not responsible for the practices, systems or content employed by websites or services linked to or from the Service, including the information or content contained therein.

This includes dedicated channels used by other ministries and broadcasters hosted by RTN.

Please remember that when you use a link to go from the Service to another website, our Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services.

Your browsing and interaction on any third-party website or service, including those that have a link or advertisement on our website, are subject to that third party’s own rules and policies.

In addition, you agree that we are not responsible, and we do not control over any third parties that you authorize to access your User Content. If you are using a third-party website or service (like Facebook, Google groups, or a chatroom) and you allow such a third-party access to the User Content you do so at your own risk.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means (including offline) or from other sources other than through the Service.

13.   Investigation

We will take any complaints seriously and investigate and forward any findings to any statutory authority as required. This will include removal of the program containing the issue of complaint or the channel itself if deemed appropriate by the RTN board. We will record our findings at the conclusion of any investigation and supply a copy to the complainant or their resisted agent or representative.

The person or channel reserves the right to counter any allegation independently using any legal means at their disposal and RTN would be required upon request to supply all relevant information as per any disclosure requests.

14.   Legal Action

We will take any appropriate legal action to protect our service from any frivolous, malicious or other activity intended to disrupt the free enjoyment and broadcast of this network. This includes any misuse of program material, identification of persons involved. This will include guests, any contributor, host or content supplied including any comments or questions in real time recording, or as part of any comments supplied in text format.

Any harassment, derogatory, inflammatory or abusive comments or display that can reasonably considered to have breached any law relevant to the situation, may be passed to any statutory enforcing body or Police Service as appropriate.

This includes unsolicited material, comments on any other platform or media that is considered inflammatory or designed to injure or disrupt the service or its contributors.

Such information that we obtain will be used to investigate and provide evidence in any legal proceedings. No material held or broadcast by RTN can be reproduced, edited or reposted in any format without prior permission of RTN.

Any such application will record and maintain the personal details and occupation or use of supplied material. Any requests made and authority or refusal of permission will be recorded for a minimum of six (6) years and will be available for examination upon request. Approval for fair use or similar protection is an any way restricted by this condition.

However, any such use in breach of fair use or similar legal provision will be challenged, if its intended use is not journalistic, or not intended to promote the topic or persons concerned in the material used, in a fair and objective manner.

15.   Opt-out and data access

We will provide an opt-out facility for any data held by RTN, regarding any data received as a result of you contacting RTN, regarding any program or as part of any normal contact via email or other recordable means.

If you believe we have or had any data belonging to you, please email RTN at the address on our contact page of the website.

Please confirm what data you believe we may have, when it was provided, and what you require us to do with it.

We will reply promptly to confirm what data we hold.

The requests will also be recorded and maintained electronically and be subject to your disclosure.

Your data and personal security are important to us, and we will respond to well-intended concerns or suggestions that comply with the relevant law in a professional and friendly manner.

16.   Program and contact Consent and permission
There is currently no electronic or other means that we are aware of that will allow us to gain your permission to use your name and question data should you contact RTN as part of our programming.

Therefore this is taken as given should you call in, email or contact us to ask a question or have your views heard in any broadcast or publication used on RTN.

We will therefore regularly inform any person contacting RTN to ask questions or take part in any program, will automatically by virtue of the contact give permission to RTN to use the name given for the purpose of identifying the caller.

Any other data which may be relevant will be requested by the host at the time.

For example: if we are asking for mothers to call in, presupposes that you are female and that is your identity, along with the supplied name.

If we request persons of a certain religion or belief contact us as part of the program content, that would also identify the caller with that belief.

Your email phone number or any other identifier will not be disclosed on air and will be subject to the conditions above.
